손끝에 닿을 듯한 금속의 존재감

MIREU(H) 프로젝트에서 선보였던 메탈릭한 용의 존재감을 새로운 오브제로 재해석한 작업입니다. 용의 형상 그 자체를 넘어 고유어인 '미르'를 3D 타이포그래피로 확장한 작업입니다.
금속 표면에 맺히는 빛의 굴절과 반사를 세밀하게 조정하여, 가상의 이미지가 아닌 손에 잡힐 듯한 사실감을 부여했습니다. 실제 금속이 가진 묵직한 무게감과 차가운 질감을 구현하기 위해 사실적인 조명 설계에 집중한 결과입니다. 타이포그래피가 평면을 넘어 입체적인 작업물로 확장되는 과정을 보여주고자 하였으며, 키링의 묵직한 조형미를 강조하기 위해 의도적으로 느린 모션으로 구현하여 금속 특유의 실재감을 완성했습니다.
This project reinterprets the metallic presence of the dragon featured in the MIREU(H) series through a new object. It expands the essence of the dragon beyond its physical form into 3D typography using the native Korean word "MIREU(H)"
I meticulously adjusted the refraction and reflection of light on metallic surfaces to provide a lifelike realism that feels within reach. This is the result of focusing on realistic lighting design to capture the heavy weight and cold texture inherent to actual metal.
The goal was to visualize the expansion of flat typography into a 3D object. To emphasize the solid form of the keyring, I intentionally applied a slow-paced motion, fully realizing the tangible presence of metal through movement.
